Every other Friday, Doug McCambridge and Jamie Lorello discuss a film from the 1980s. Some are films we haven't seen since we were kids and offer a fresh perspective. Others are films we've never seen before but probably should have. Do they hold up? Are they classics? Or would these films just be better off having been lost to time?

Episode 122: The Legend of Billie Jean (1985)

Doug tries not to confuse Christian Slater with Helen Slater or Stephen Dorff...or Kirk Cameron while Jamie fumbles around trying to find a derogatory term for blonde kids. Also, sorry Yeardley Smith, but you're forever Lisa Simpson! We talk a lot of Supergirl at the top but this episode is on Billie Jean and her Legend!

    Episode 121: Star 80 (1983)

We kick off 2020 with some hot garbage as Jamie wants to blame priests for what happened to Dorothy Stratten, Doug again longs for Guttenberg to appear and lighten the mood and neither host understands exactly what this gynecological/workout/sex/murder/suicide bench is exactly.

Episode 120: Number One With A Bullet (1987)

Episode 120: Number One With A Bullet (1987)

We put a bow on Billy Dee-cember with a Cannon-version of Lethal Weapon where both Jamie and Doug were confused by the plot but bewitched by Billy Dee...and Doris Roberts! Also, no doubt the director saw Cobra and said, 'pizza with scissors, I can beat that'.

We hope everyone had a great 2019!

Great Times! With Intentionally Not So Good Movies...

Every fortnight Douglas and Jamie have a fun and lively conversation about a 1980s film title... The worse the film, the better it seems. The rapport between the co-hosts is excellent and the conversation flows naturally and often hilariously. To some degree it may help a little to have seen the film they are discussing each week, but I've greatly enjoyed the two episodes to date on films I haven't actually got around to seeing yet and they provide enough context and humour to make the podcast almost certainly better than the film they're discussing.
