Jules Peacocke commenced her hairdressing apprenticeship in New Zealand in 1989 under the tutelage of incredibly talented and amazing stylists.  They were brutally honest, hard AF, brilliant and completely committed to growing the next generation of talented hairdressers.  Armed with great skills, Jules left NZ for a big city experience in London. After several years she came to Australia in search of high end hairdressing experiences and found none.  So, she built her own 26 years ago. Today, Jules is still passionate about her salon brand Lily Jackson Hairdressing but now has something to say about the industry to anyone that will listen.

    Sandy Chong is a key influence in the Hairdressing Industry. Currently she is the CEO/Director of the Australian Hairdressing Council. She speaks on behalf of the industry to Government and media, creating relationships to support an industry that is often overlooked. Her role at the AHC has established better business practices, training and education and building sustainable careers for the future of the industry.

    Sandy’s vision is to create an industry that has the highest possible standards in ethics, technical ability and workplace.

    Jules is joined by Danielle Tedesco, the Head of Hairdressing Education at the popular Meadowbank TAFE. The government has created an anxiety-inducing, assessment-heavy training package that exhausts students in a way that sets them up to fail. It seems the solutions are within our capacity to influence heavily, so why is the industry not making more noise?

I’m biased but still a great story and show

There are few people who have the same passion level that Jules does for the hairdressing industry. Not only does she love it but she is a fierce advocate who wants elevate the industry’s image and professionalism to the next greatest level.
I’m in awe of this clever and resilient business woman who is super practical and has lots of insight and wisdom to share. Just listen and find out.
