This week on the podcast, I’m thrilled to bring you my conversation with Steve Davis, otherwise known as my dad! Dad and I are very close and this is really an informal conversation where I wanted to ask dad some of the biggest things he’s learned about living well as he recently turned 75, despite appearing as though he is in his 50s.

Customer Reviews
Real conversations – this is what the world needs
I love what Mike is doing here. Not only is he deftly showcasing some of the brightest minds and warmest hearts on the planet, he is doing so in a way that is authentic, organic and emergent. The unedited, single-take format of this podcast is what I crave. I’m so tired of pitch-perfect polished and pithy purpose platitudes oriented towards soundbites catering to a busy and distracted listener. I want to be in amongst a real conversation, what with the hesitations and pauses, and that sense of delightful bafflement that occurs when a conversation ventures beyond the edge of knowledge. And that’s what Mike offers us here with Humans of Purpose. I feel like I am eavesdropping upon two wondrous people in deep conversation at a bar or a café. Mike brings out the best in this format, and is a very generous host. He keeps it lively, and is a consummate conversationalist. If you seek insight into purpose-driven business and work—without it feeling like a fabricated PR stunt—this is the podcast for you. It doesn’t get better than this!
