Love this prosecutor / defence legal duo!

I absolutely love this podcast. I've worked as a criminal lawyer and criminal law lecturer for years and usually don't read/watch much crime outside of work. But I make an exception for this show. I'm hooked! Incredibly well-researched and thoughtfully explained. Probably the best thing about the show is the complementary perspectives/styles that Lizzie and Joe bring (one being a former prosecutor, and the other a defence lawyer). Both are at the top of their game!

A man interrupting and condescending a woman. Repeat.

I found this podcast via social media and was excited to listen. Elizabeth tries to make well-researched, reasonable points, but is interrupted, contradicted, gas-lit and patronised by Joe Crowley. She has the patience of a saint by remaining calm and articulate even though Joe interjects relentlessly. If he actually stopped to listen instead of trying to find a “gotcha” moment in Elizabeth’s assertions this podcast would be tolerable. As it is, Joe is the stereotype of defensive, privileged, “not all men” lawyer and makes the show unlistenable. Shame.
