    The Concious Sex Worker

    The Concious Sex Worker

I have always been fascinated with sex workers. I just hadn't been exposed to many like Indie. Indie isn't your stereotype. She is natural, freckled, curvy with no shame in showing her body hair, self harm scars, cellulite and stretch marks.

She is in the industry as a business woman. Indie takes her work seriously and even further, she really wants to impact her clients for the better- she meets them without judgement and holds space for them to explore whatever tickles their fancy.
Indie is wise, open and will challenge the way you see the sex industry.

Please note her name has been changed for privacy reasons.

    The Domestic Violence Survivor

Trigger warning- This episode contains explicit information on domestic violence.

Justine is a proud indigenous woman, a social worker, mother of 2 and a bit of an instagram influencer. Like many on social media she was portraying a life that was perfect. One day that all came crashing down when she shared the truth about her husband.

The man that should be protecting her was the one inflicting the most horrific acts of violence.

Justine realised in one of his attacks she was close to being killed. She is now safe and is brave enough to share her story. A story that belongs to far too many Australian women.

    The Trauma Cleaner Part 1

    The Trauma Cleaner Part 1

Sandra is like a cat that has nine lives. There are so many chapters of this story we had to share it over two episodes.

Sandra grew up as Peter and through his life he was many things: He became a father, a husband, a woman, a drag artist, a prostitute, a drug addict, a law abiding citizen, a married woman, one of Melbourne's high society, a business owner, a widow and a trauma cleaner.

As you can imagine this is a hell of a ride. It is a story that has a lot of explicit and adult content.

It is almost unbelievable that one person can fit so much into one lifetime but she did and it's fascinating.

Content warning: this episode deals with prostitution, drugs and abuse. If you are suffering or are triggered by the themes of this podcast, help services are available.

    The Terminal Parent

    The Terminal Parent

What would you do if you found out your life partner was doing meth, what if the lies didn't stop? What if after all that trauma and becoming a solo parent you get a terminal cancer diagnosis? No family around to help. No options. What would you do?

Kate is heroic, some may even say a little mad, because Kate thinks she can beat this death sentence and she even put a timeline on it. 365 days. Is this possible?
    What does it entail?

This is a conversation that covers trauma, how to deal with betrayal, fighting disease and the power of a mothers love.

Disclaimer: this podcast is intended for entertainment purposes and to share Kate's story, not to be taken as medical advice. For medical advice consult your doctor.
