Celia Pacquola won’t be shaving her legs for the Logies. Here’s why

    Celia Pacquola has been busy.
She debuted her first live show in five years, I’m As Surprised As You Are; became the host of popular sketch comedy series Thank God You’re Here; starred in the Logie-nominated TV show Utopia; and – in between filming, writing and performing – she also had a baby.
On this episode of Something To Talk About, Celia joins host Sarrah Le Marquand to explain why she decided to host Thank God You’re Here, what it's like working with fellow comedian, on-screen co-star and off-screen best friend Luke McGregor, and the hilarious observations she made after she became a mother for the first time. She also shares what she's planning to wear to the Logies next month – let’s just say, Celia is going to make sure she won’t have to shave her legs.
Thank God You’re Here premieres at 7.30pm on August 14 on Network 10 and 10 Play.

Love, burnout and getting political… it really IS a lot with Abbie Chatfield

On today’s episode, she joins Sarrah Le Marquand to talk about all of that, and then some.
Watch FBoy Island Australia season 2 on Binge from August 5, with episodes dropping weekly.

Sonia Kruger on her very public roles & her very private relationships

Sonia Kruger on her very public roles & her very private relationships

Since 1992, Sonia Kruger has been a fixture on our screens, from her role as Tina Sparkle in Baz Luhrmann’s cult film Strictly Ballroom to working as a television presenter on morning TV and hosting some of Australia’s most successful reality shows - including, of course, Dancing With The Stars which is back on our screens this week.
But when it comes to her private life, Sonia likes to keep it private. But today we get a little more personal. We discuss how she was instrumental in bringing Dancing With The Stars to screen, what life as the mother of a nine-year-old girl is really like, how THAT Gold Logies speech led her to therapy and what it was like when her partner Craig was recently the one in the headlines.
Dancing With The Stars premieres Sunday July 7 on Channel 7 and 7plus.

The interview that brought Amanda Keller to tears

The interview that brought Amanda Keller to tears

Amanda Keller is a confessed oversharer. It’s her job to share snippets of her private life on the breakfast radio show she’s co-hosted for the past 19 years, Jonesy and Amanda on Sydney’s WSFM. But last year, Amanda revealed she’d been keeping a secret. On her new podcast, Double A Chattery, Amanda told the world that for the past six years, her husband Harley had been living with Parkinson's.
On this episode of Something To Talk About, Amanda joins Stellar’s editor-in-chief Sarrah Le Marquand to talk about her husband Harley, parenting adults, whether or not she’ll ever consider a role on television again, and why she’s even forgiven Tom Gleeson, the man many believe robbed her of a well deserved Gold Logie.
Listen to Jonesy & Amanda weekdays from 6am on Sydney’s 101.7 WSFM, or look for Double A Chattery wherever you get your podcasts.

One of the best podcasts in Australia by far.

Unacceptable

Stella, it’s simply unacceptable for you to have Abbie Chatfield onto your podcast to spread more misinformation about the Israel / Gaza war and fan the flames of antisemitism.

Abbie, you said you didn’t know anything about the conflict in the region before October 7 - and you still don’t. Because you haven’t spent one second educating yourself on the Israeli / Jewish side of things. You insist on listening to nothing but other biased and misinformed people and taking their word for it.

There’s no ‘occupation’. There is no ‘genocide’. These are facts proven by a simple Google search. It’s a war with Islamists - a group of people you have literally nothing in common with in terms of values - who refuse to allow Jews to live peacefully in their ancestral homeland. They’re currently still holding over 100 Israeli hostages (every single one a war crime) while using their own people as human shields (also a war crime) as Israel tries to rescue their hostages. What do you expect Israel to do, Abbie? Just leave them there?

Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East, it’s a progressive country with a huge emphasis on equal rights for women, LGBT and minorities and it’s home to almost 2 million Muslims. How many Jews live in Palestine and other Muslim countries, Abbie? Zero. They were all ethnically cleansed after WW2.

You care so much about speaking out about this ‘genocide’ yet you don’t seem to give a hoot about any of the actual genocides going on in the world or any other atrocities on the planet. Oh, you’re such a humanitarian! Thank you so much for speaking out. What would we all do without you?

Abbie, if you want to help the world, the best thing you can possibly do is shut up and stop ‘speaking out’ on things you wouldn’t even be able to pass a basic history or general knowledge test on.

Excellent episode. Edwina is a breath of fresh air, honest and upfront.
