Guna goes to the polls on the 7th of May. In the hot, arid Guna constituency where Civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia is contesting polls, the political fortunes of all the candidates are still being shaped. The mother in question was an assistant professor in a government college and said that the Himachal Pradesh government denied her child care leaves. Her child suffers from a genetic condition. The Supreme Court, in a welcome intervention, pointed out that the state, as a model employer, cannot be oblivious to such concerns.
