We're joined by one of the most passionate and loyal players to ever don the red and blue jersey on the KNIGHTS // HQ Podcast, Kurt Gidley.

On another edition of 'Legends Chats', 'Gids' comes on to reminisce on his playing days and give us an update on what he's doing now post-footy.

Gidley played 251 games for the Newcastle Knights across a 17 year career. A Novocastrian through and through, he would represent his country, state and club in a distinguished career at the top level.

A highly consistent, versatile and leader of the Club during his playing days, Gidley would become a Hall of Fame member in 2022.

We kick off the podcast with 'Guess that Game' we're we quiz 'Gids' on his knowledge of some of the most memorable games from his career including a certain match-winning moment against the Melbourne Storm in 2014.

Kurt also spoke about his passion for the Club, life post footy and helping set the Club's new standards, with the word 'Grit' and addressing the players on the meaning of the word.

Former Knight and current NRL Assistant Coach, Blake Green, joins the KNIGHTS // HQ Podcast to talk about his role at the Club and the state of the current game from an attack coach's point of view.

The boys chat about what goes into a game week for our assistant coaches while 'Greeny' provided an insight into the type of messages they give to the players in preparation for the weekend's match.

Green also spoke about the junior development systems currently in place and the notion of nurturing future first graders.

A 270-game half across the NRL and Super League, Green touched on his playing days including learning off and picking up tendencies from players such as Cameron Smith that have helped shaped his coaching style.

Off-season recruit and English import Kai Pearce-Paul joins the KNIGHTS // HQ Podcast.

Following four seasons in the Super League, where he debuted as a teenager, KPP flew halfway across the world to join the Knights at the start of 2024.

The towering second-row forward became Knight #346 when he played in Round 1 against the Canberra Raiders.

We kick off the podcast with some get to know questions for Kai which led to a reveal of his appearance in UK rapper/grime artist 'Stormzy's' music video.

Kai talked about his journey to rugby league in the beginning having grown up playing league and union.

He chats about departing Wigan Warriors and leaving on a high with a Grand Final win, plus making his debut for England at the 2021 Rugby League World Cup.

Fast forward to today, the forward chats to the boys about adapting to the Australian lifestyle and joining the Club.

The KNIGHTS // HQ Podcast is back for the new season, the official podcast of the nib Newcastle Knights, and to begin the new season we've got the Captain. The Prince of Newcastle. The reigning Dally M Medallist, Kalyn Ponga, joining the boys.

Coming off a monumental 2023 for the livewire fullback, KP, shares his process he built up over the last campaign, the lessons he learned from previous seasons, and what happened on stage during the incredible countdown to winning his first Dally M Medal.

The Origin representative talks about the reaction to the opening round game from the squad and the plans to bounce back against the Cowboys in Round 2.

Footy is back and the KNIGHTS // HQ Podcast has returned for Season 4!

The nib Newcastle Knights will kick-off the new campaign on Thursday night against the Canberra Raiders at McDonald Jones Stadium.

Hosted by Knights forward Mat Croker and Knights content producer Jae Nelson, the boys reunite for the first episode to preview the upcoming game and chat about another huge pre-season at the Club.

A lot has happened since we last recorded with Semi Finals, new signings, re-signings, full Club days and another big off-season. The boys recap the last few months including the Elimination Final against the Canberra Raiders plus look ahead to season 2024.

We round out the podcast with a new segment, Guess the Knights player, where the boys go head-to-head to see if they can pick who the Knights player is from history.
