Really enjoying You Cannot Be Serious — love the banter and the way you guys tackle issues. I wanted to flag something that might be worth discussing: Victoria’s Little Angler program has provided free fishing kits, including rods and reels, to Grade 5 students. The program has involved $1.5 million in 2023/24 and another $1.5 million for the 2026 rollout — $3 million in total. Importantly, the Government says it’s funded through recreational fishing licence fees rather than general taxation revenue. I’d be interested to hear your take on whether that represents good value for money. What happens if your kid isn’t into fishing?
