Jammin' with James #4, Victorious Prayer - James 4:1-10

Jammin' with James #4, Victorious Prayer - James 4:1-10

Sunday, March 10, Jammin' with James, Victorious Prayer, James 4:1-10~ If there’s anything that I need to do—that you need to do, that we need to do, that everyone needs to do— it is to learn how to pray. The man who can pray can do anything, for prayer can do anything that God can do, and God can do anything. And, our desperate need in these days is to link our lives with the omnipotent God who has called upon us and told us to pray. And, Jesus said, “ask, and ye shall receive” (John 16:24). And, James says, “you have not, because you ask not.” How can you get more traction in your prayer life? Come and hear!

Love Never Fails #2, Product of Love, 1 Cor. 13:6-8

Love Never Fails #2, Product of Love, 1 Cor. 13:6-8

Sunday, February 10, 2013, Poet Robert Browning wrote, “Love is the energy of life.” The Bible says where God is, love is, for God is love. All of these 15 colors (descriptions) and hues of the spectrum of love we find in this passage are verbs in the original Greek. What this means is that love is not simply a feeling, or an abstraction or passive; love is active. Love is only love when it acts (1 John 3:18). So we should do all the good we can, to all the people we can, for as long as we can. Come and see!

Jammin' with James #4, Wisdom: Wise or Otherwise, James 3:13-18

Jammin' with James #4, Wisdom: Wise or Otherwise, James 3:13-18

Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, James places a great value upon wisdom. James doesn't say who is a rich man among you, or who is an educated man among you, or who is a popular among you, or who is a busy or ambitious man among you. But, James, looking for a leader in the church says, “Who is a wise man among you.” And, James like all of the writers of the Bible, puts a great, great, premium upon wisdom. Wisdom is greater, than monetary power. Would you like to know how to attain a reliable source of wisdom?? Come and see.
