These pranayama classes combine the limbic state created through the powerful work of traditional pranayama practices with guided visual processes.

Together these two create an alchemic journey into the energetic field of the Light Body. Here we transcend the physical structure and reawaken the innate knowledge of Self as a multidimensional being here to channel Light.

These practices can be done by any level of practitioner (advanced practices will be marked so) and can be used to augment your daily meditation practice, or as a stand-alone process done at any time of the day.

Pranayama for the Late Summer Days

Pranayama for the Late Summer Days

In this practice, we lean into the inherent heaviness of the humidity that characterizes the Late Summer phase and the element of EARTH.

A slowed-down, observation-rich sequence suitable for practitioners with some experience in the basic pranayama techniques.

Breathwork includes variations of Ujjai (Ocean breath), Agni Sari (alternating bellows breath) and Viloma (Interrupted breathing).

Seeking ground is a deliberate thing, and moving from transmitting to receiving can feel awkward and ungainly. Hence the support of the Late Summer phase and the energies that take us Earthwards like the heavy grains and fruit-laden crops ripe and ready for the harvest.

    Pranayama Out of Time

    Pranayama Out of Time

In this pranayama practice, we move in counterflow to the sped-up, activated Summer season of Fire by slowing down the perception of time.

Here we temper the unwound energies of full Yang bringing them back into containment, alignment and grace.

Pranayama, when practised like this, can profoundly reverse our to-do list from something time-pressured and stress-inducing to a wide open space where creativity and inspiration can flow - and yet everything still gets done.

Breathwork includes Ujjai (victorious breath), variations on Pratyloma (extended inhalation), Suraya Bedhana (sun breath) and an alternating nostril variation of the classic one-minute breath.

This practice is suitable for all levels of students with space given for each to find their own depth and pace.

May this return you to the field of space and time where the magic happens daily.

    Pranayama for Spring

    Pranayama for Spring

In this pranayama practice, we endeavour to assist the work of Springs Wood Element with a steadying practice. Smoothing the edges of Spring where it can fray with urgency in its desire to move and grow.

Pranayama is a powerful way to quickly and efficiently find a re-set when life feels like you've had too much coffee.

Breathwork includes Ujjai (victorious breath), Sama Vritti (square breath) and a variation on Pratyloma (extended inhalation) punctuated by retentions and integrations.

This practice is suitable for all levels of students with space given for each to find their own pace and depth accordingly. I hope this meets you exactly where you need it most.

    Pranayama for the Threshold

    Pranayama for the Threshold

In this practice we wind into the state between Winter and Spring, Water and Wood, imagining and Becoming.

This is an almost 30-minute continuous sequence of combinations of Kaphlabhakti (bellow breath) and Sama Vritta (Square breathing).

An elevator ride into your own depths and the space in the psyche where dreams take shape.

Pranayama experience is recommended for this practice. Nor suitable for brand-new beginners.

    Springs First Moon

    Springs First Moon

Here on the first of Springs New Moons, we call the energy that creates mountains and contains oceans, we draw from the deep roots of the trees, and from nature’s diversity and inclusion.

This is a process of clearing and grounding, of opening to the springtime, Wood energy cycle and dreaming in the New Earth frequencies on a personal and a collective level.

Pranayama includes Ujjai breath, Kaphlabhakti (bellows breath), breath holds and Anuloma (extended exhalation)

The Long Breath | Venus in the Underworld

The Long Breath | Venus in the Underworld

This 30-minute guided journey is designed to support the powerful phase of the Venus cycle that sees her disappear below the horizon.

She takes this dive every 500 or so days and carries with her the mythology of Innana, Persephone and all the Goddesses who make the journey to reclaim the Self from the dark places.

This year (2023) the journey extends from August 6 - 21.

During this arc of her cycle, she moves into the unseen where she reworks her Heart, integrates her wounds, tends to her inner realms, and emerges bright and strong as the morning star.
