EP 4: Organs falling out of my vagina when lifting
"Restricting exercise in the hopes of saving a vagina is not holistic women's health". Anthony Lo - Physio Detective
We go into what a Prolapse is and whether it's really as scary as society makes out.
I go into detail about my pessary experience and what I tried instead.
My fear of doing anything after being told things like - 'Don't do wide stance squats".
Why fear mongering isn't helpful and what you can do instead if you have pelvic floor dysfunction such as a prolapse.
I discuss olympic lifts positions such as Hips thrusts and how to make tweaks to ensure you get the most from your training without leaking or causing more injury.
Why the Feeling of bulging after an intense workout may not actually be an issue.
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms discussed in this episode and/or the below, please see a Pelvic floor Physiotherapist.

EP 2: Mum rage.
Anger is just like every other emotion but it's not OK for us to express anger in society.
We must be happy, positive and upbeat so as not to make others feel awkward or upset. But as mums have a lot to juggle and sometimes we just want to scream. This episode is about normalising the 'normal' and I share one of my 'rage' experiences.
Mum rage is a real condition we often mistake for just anger, and is a result of extreme burnout and lack of self-care.
Next episode goes into detail on what to do to prevent burnout from happening - Episode 3 - Avoid Burnout. Don't miss out on this one and bring your notepad and pen. Make sure to follow the podcast so you're alerted when episodes are live.

I also want to introduce the 'good enough mother' for those who strive for perfection, like myself as a recovering perfectionist.
For more help around the psychology or mental health of rage, there is an amazing woman called Kate Kripke who actually covers more on this topic in her episode - https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/motherhood-uncut/id1631059177?i=1000639197138

not alone!
A big Thank you to this podcast- your real & even at times funny words that helped through some tough mental battles.
I found Lara’s birth story 1 year postpartum and I needed to hear that I wasn’t the only one that had a traumatic first birth.
It’s horrible the amount of people with Birth Trauma but now I know I’m not alone and it does get better.
No one story is the same, thanks for the insight and facts.
Raw and empowering!
Thank you for giving voice to all the things mums encounter…in a raw, honest, encouraging and empowering way! I really appreciated the episode about women’s health and using a pessary. Something we don’t hear or talk much about, but how essential it is to build awareness and empowerment around this!! Thank you!
