Great podcast
As a Kiwi living in Australia, I really love this podcast and the opportunity to keep up with various news and current affairs issues that affect NZ. A great range of topics and perspectives.
Renewable Energy Goal
Thank you for starting this conversation
The overview given was great.
The alternative expertise the on powergrid and battery storage I think would have given a more balance perspective on the current state of the energy market.
Reference to the battery storage projects and planning for changes in the power grid system in our nearest neighbour Australia were missing.
I felt it painted that battery storage was not sufficiently developed, to consider and a numbing down baer’s expectation for 100% renewable energy generation.
Our legacy of hydro power generation is the only reason in my opinion that we are leaders in renewable energy generation but the damage the construction of these projects initially caused the environment is never faced into this equation I feel.
Please get more expert on to your podcast presenting different point of views so NZ are not lulled into a false sense of self righteousness. To say climate change was not a pressing problem I found hard to hear.
Kind regards
Joan
