The Sounds in My Head is a biweekly music show featuring songs and bands you might have missed. Hosted by Daniel since 2004.

Musically The Sounds in My Head attempts to be fairly eclectic, but probably tends to lean towards "indie pop" music. Also, I try to squeeze in as much left-wing propaganda as possible between tracks.

This kinda thing easily veers too far into trite, but there can be a lot of truth in well-composed bumper stickers, and I think Nate hits them all well.

Boy howdy!

I love Daniel, he is so charming and humble. I love the eclectic tunes he comes to with and his non-smug attitude to enjoying good music! I cherish this podcast and have found so, so many treasures by way of Daniel’s recommendations. Thank you for your great work!

One of my first podcasts and still a favourite after all these years...

The Sounds in my Head one of my all time favourites from way back in 2004. I happen to share the hosts musical tastes which makes this a great podcast for listening to new or "under-discovered" music. Disappointed to see the jilted listener (Dr Blob) rate him down due to the host's regular smattering of liberal audio clips. I'm no liberal, but this isn't a political show, its a well produced well presented and *consistent* podcast. Quality podcasts are the exception - subscribe to this one!

Self-Indulgent Feel-Good American Liberal

This guy wears his politics on his sleeve in a non-thinking American fashion. It becomes an intrusive and unwelcome part of this (ostensibly) musical podcast. There is no grey, only black or white, good or evil, Capulet or Montague...

Was George W. Bush really that bad?? Will history decide differently??

Daniel's music choices are often naive though there is the occasional interesting track. It is often worth trolling the dross to extract the spark.

Jeeze I'm glad I do not live in New York. (Though "Senator Pink Ears" was a way cool name for a cat.)
