Women-only spaces have been around for centuries. In various cultures and times in history, some forms or another of female seclusion have been accepted or even encouraged. Recently, the App has come under fire for its lack of inclusion of members in the Trans Community. As a "female-only" platform, Giggle permits Trans-Men on the app, but not Trans-Women, and uses biometric gender verification to do so.
