Mishmushm ,

Thank you!

Thank you for all your advice, wisdom, pep-talks, cheer & of course financial support every week! I love this podcast (Infact it’s the only one I religiously listen to!) as it is practical & relatable. It has help me improve and set up many financial aspects for my young family - so thank you so very much! This podcast has inspired me to look into doing financial courses- the pod is very motivating!! One day I dream to meet VD and the team as they are truly, truly incredible! Thank you for all your support and help this year!

Eugh. Want to like it but…

I’ve recently started learning about finance and investment, and as a mid-30s Australian woman, I thought this podcast would be right up my alley. However, I find the tone quite tiresome. Victoria certainly seems knowledgeable, yet her lack of humility detracts from her credibility. Despite her successful business background, her insights often appear shallow and lacking in critical thought, suggesting only a superficial grasp of the topics discussed. One episode that particularly turned me off was about investing for kids and teaching them about money. Victoria overused the word ‘conceptualization’ and focused on developmental theories rather than providing practical advice for parents on how to secure their children’s financial future. Her approach felt overly simplistic and not well-researched, especially since she isn't a parent herself (at the time of recording). Although the podcast has introduced me to other interesting guests, the overall experience hasn’t been very engaging for me. Others might still find it valuable, but it’s not for me.

Please bring back earlier episode style content

I fell in love with SOTM a couple of years ago, and now I just find it makes me feel more discouraged and unmotivated instead of the opposite. The content doesn’t feel as down to earth and relatable. I love that Bec is on the show and can balance it out with perspective though I wish they would be given more of an opportunity to speak. Unfortunately I feel similar to other comments in that Victoria is a little dominating in the conversation, talking over the top of others, and as she is extremely successful in terms of financial freedom, it can feel like she is there showing off. I think it if it is solely meant to be about Victoria it should be called Victoria’s on the Money because “she’s” gives the idea that it is for all of us women, and the earlier episodes certainly did (I MISS YOU GEORGIA) - it felt more relatable and down to earth, but unfortunately it doesn’t anymore. I’m increasingly unable to finish episodes and might shift to another podcast altogether.
