The guys are taking a break from the podcast (if you have comments or suggestions for what you’d like to see if we bring it back in a couple of months, please leave them!), but we answered another pile of listener questions today amid a few doggie interruptions, ahem. Here are the specific questions we addressed: How do you approach

On today’s show, the guys answered listener questions about pre-orders, rapid releases, how they found their editors, whether it make sense to keep series in Kindle Unlimited while publishing stand-alone novels wide, and lots of other stuff. Here’s a list of the questions they got to in the show (the second half of the batch will be answered next week):

She started her career writing non-fiction, shifted to romance and fantasy romance with traditional publishing, and now does some self-publishing as well. This week, traditionally and self-published fantasy author Gail Carriger joined us for the second time. She first visited two years ago to chat about all the marketing she does and also about how she was transitioning from traditional publishing to a hybrid career. BEST PODCAST FOR WRITERS! All aspects and topics for all kinds of genres and writers.

This is my favorite podcast to listen to. They cover just about every topic you can think of for writers. Not just marketing and not just for indie/ self published authors. They have guests that cover most genres who are self-published, traditionally published and some are even both.
They talk about every aspect of marketing, publishing and sales but they also go in-depth about the craft with some authors (eg Rachel Aaron episode).
Plotting, structure, novel lengths, covers, advertising, launching tips, time between launches and just about anything else you can think of.
As far as i'm concerned this is the quintessential complete guide to writing, marketing and publishing.
And just to top it off, all of the hosts are easygoing and personable. The conversations flows well and it feels like you're just listening to your mates have a chat.

Thanks Lindsay, Joe and Jeff. Your show is awesome.

An awesome podcast for indie authors of all genres

This is honestly one of the most helpful podcasts for authors trying to find their feet (and I write romance). If you want up-to-date advice from people who remember what it's like to be in the trenches with a handful of readers and no money, then I highly recommend this podcast.
