Easy Fitness Listening

I'm an amateur lifter/gym goer/sportsman who's tried listening to a few fitness based podcasts over the years but never really found one that's really sucked me in. After stumbling over Strength & Scotch, I now realy look forward to seeing the podcast pop up on my phone so I can listen to it for some inspiration while I'm at the gym.

The balance between Heavey, who brings so much knowledge and puts so much into researching topics, and Grant, who I think speaks on behalf of many of the listeners (including myself) who aren't always that enthusiastic about health and fitness but do it anyway, is what really makes the podcast great.

Informative and light hearted, it's a great podcast if you're happy to have a laugh while learning a bit about health and fitness, all while debunking some of the myths out there.

Also, Scotch is great.

P.S. I don't normally use iTunes to listen to podcasts but I figured this pod is worth logging in once to write a review. Thanks guys, keep up the great work :)

Ever read the headline of a 'nutrition' article that borders on being clickbait? and you're pretty sure it's total bs but don't really have the energy to click into it and see for yourself, or, further than that, do your own research on the matter to find out the truth of the matter?

Well these guys definitely have you covered. Brandon is the guy who will spend the hours and money that's required to read research papers to get to the bottom of some of the sports industries most frustrating misconceptions and misinformation that gets thrown around these days in the media.

Grant is an expert question asker and has countlessly asked the exact question or brung up the exact thought that has been in my head as I'm listening along. The guys do a great job of setting the record straight and creating a sensible narrative among the multitudes of 'eating meat will give you cancer' and 'bread is making you fat' headlines that bombard us on a daily basis.

Plus I've learnt a lot about whiskey and had a lot of lol's along the way.

If you are at all interested in the fitness industry and have a sense of humour then I can't recommend this podcast enough. The episodes are bite-sized and a great listen.
