Shannan and Tayla Stedman are 27 and 26-year-old sisters and co-authors from Sydney. They have just released their second book in their Lola Online series - The Recipe for Disaster with Scholastic Books. When not writing, the duo have spent the last six years running their children’s entertainment company, Happily Ever Laughter which has allowed them to dress as fairies and princesses, get creative with face painting, twist a super cute balloon animal or three and eat a lot of cake.

Fleur Ferris spent sixteen years working in Police and Ambulance Services in Victoria and South Australia before her debut novel, Risk, was published in 2015. Further titles, Black, Wreck and Found have all since followed. Her background has no doubt proved invaluable for her writing, with her books a heady mix of thriller, suspense and crime, all well suited to the upper ages of the tween category and into young adult. Small town settings are also an enduring theme of her writing, with Fleur having grown up on a farm and now living with her husband and children amidst the sparkling yellow fields of Canola in rural NSW.

Jaclyn Moriarty is a best-selling author of novels for children, young adults and adults, with titles including Feeling Sorry for Celia, The Stolen Prince of Cloudburst and the mesmerically titled, “I have a bed made of Buttermilk Pancakes’.  Her books have been translated into several languages and she has won multiple awards including the NSW and QLD Premier’s Literary Awards. A former media and entertainment lawyer, Jaclyn has lived around the world and now calls Sydney home.  She has four sisters, one brother, a son and a dad who would often pay her $1.50 to write a story as a little girl. She is also very fond of blueberries, chocolate and ice-skating.

Emily Rodda is undoubtedly one of Australia’s most awarded, most prolific and most beloved authors. Having written over 90 books throughout her career to date, her works include picture books and YA novels, including the award-winning Rowan books and the outstandingly successful Deltora Quest fantasy series. Maryam Master is a writer with more than 20 years' experience creating work for stage and screen. She wrote the stage adaptation of David Walliams' best-selling book The Midnight Gang. In 2011 she was selected by Sesame Workshop as the writer for Elmo's tour of Australia, with other TV credits including Lah-Lah's Adventures, Blinky Bill and New Macdonald's Farm. She has also written over 80 episodes of Home and Away and just this year has released her first book aimed squarely at the tween market, entitled Exit Through The Gift Shop.

Jacqueline is the author of over 48 novels for young readers and tweens including the beloved Alice-Miranda series which has sold over a million copies worldwide – an incredible feat for any author. She has won multiple awards for her writing, She speaks at events and festivals around Australia and her Alice-Miranda books have even been turned into films. Luckily for us Jacqueline has been able to join us all the way from New Zealand, where she is currently working on her next book and enjoying the serenity of Queenstown.
