    Is Jesus coming back?

Is Jesus ever coming back? He promised he would, but it’s been a really long time and it seems like the world is getting worse every day. We looked at the expectation of the early church, Jesus’ own words about his return and how he wants us to live in the meantime.

Are you ready for Jesus’s return on any day, at any hour?

This message was part of our series Any Day Any Hour: the when, why & how of Jesus’ return.

Why I believe that Jesus rose from the dead

Why I believe that Jesus rose from the dead

The writers of the Gospels in the Bible (Matthew, Mark, Luke & John) recorded some strange details. Details that didn’t make themselves or Jesus look good. This is one of the reasons why these eye-witness accounts of Jesus death and resurrection are so credible.

On Easter Sunday 2021, Laura shares why she believes that Jesus rose from the dead.

Jesus gives us what we don’t deserve

Jesus gives us what we don’t deserve

Two other men were crucified alongside Jesus. We don’t know very much about them, except that they were criminals. What must they have done to deserve the worst kind of execution?

When one of the criminals turned to Jesus with humility, Jesus gave him what he doesn’t deserve. And Jesus wants to do the same for us – he wants to give us what we don’t deserve.

This message was given on Good Friday, 2021.

    Jesus on trial

    Jesus on trial

In the hours before Easter, Jesus stood trial before a Roman governor named Pilate. Curiously, Jesus chose not to speak and defend himself. He spoke simply, and then stayed silent. What can we learn from Jesus about how to respond when our faith comes under attack? We each have a choice about how we will respond to Jesus and his truth.

How can love triumph over fear?

How can love triumph over fear?

In Jesus’ final hours he poured out his heart to the Father. He prayed, “Please, no!” about the pain he was facing, but also prayed, “Not my will, but yours.” Are we as familiar with the second prayer as we are with the first? When we are facing fear in our lives, we can ask God for love and we can embrace love as the way to overcome that fear.

Why is this meal different from all other meals?

Why is this meal different from all other meals?

What is so special about communion? What did Jesus mean when he said that people had to eat his flesh and drink his blood? What really happened at the last supper with Jesus and his disciples? In this message we explore the mystery and the power of the communion meal. Jesus redefined the ancient celebration of the Passover and predicted his own death and resurrection.

Jesus made communion an every day meal and an every where meal. Every time you eat the bread and drink the cup you are announcing his death.

Where will you announce the power and hope of Jesus’ death this week? Post a photo on social media when you have communion this week, using the hashtag #communiontogo
