Healing Our Veterans with Amanda Held
Amanda Held is the founder of H.O.O.V.E.S. (Healing of Our Veterans Equine Services.) It’s a safe haven and sanctuary for horses and veterans in Swanton, Ohio. For nearly ten years, she and the rest of her team have helped veterans and first responders turn post-traumatic stress into post-traumatic growth, and find a renewed sense of purpose in how they show up to the world. Reducing isolation, substance abuse, and suicidal thoughts for hundreds of the people who've gone through their retreat programs. This episode is dedicated to all of the active-duty service members, veterans, and first responders who continue a fight of their own after their shifts and deployments. You are not alone.
