The Thing About Pam Dateline NBC
-
- True Crime
-
Two days after Christmas, 2011, Russ Faria came home from game night to find his wife, Betsy, dead. He was soon charged and convicted of her murder. But Russ Faria insisted he did not kill his wife. Betsy’s brutal murder set off a chain of events that would leave one man dead, another man implicated, and expose a diabolical scheme. It would also see Dateline NBC—the true-crime original—become a part of the never-ending saga that proves the old adage: Truth is stranger than fiction. This original series from Keith Morrison and Dateline defies all expectations.

Great story; weird narration
This is a worthwhile listen, well researched, written and structured. However, the gravity of the material is completely undermined by Keith Morrison’s weird narration. The tone and inflection of his voice sounds like the knowing, wry, folksy voiceover you hear at the end of an insurance commercial where, following video of a hapless, clumsy, everyperson experiencing disaster after disaster, they reach for the phone and call their insurer. And the voiceover says, “ABC Insurance.. The right insurer for those days when, well, nothing goes right.” It is so incongruous with the subject matter that it beggars belief. However, to damn the story because of the telling would be to do it a disservice.
Zong!
Fun but kinda scary and soooo long man! A bunker out just make it longer and more detail lol
MUST LISTEN!
