Truth Hurts Podcast, Ep. 3: The Passion Translation

The Passion Translation, written by Brian Simmons, is a translation that has caught momentum amongst many Christians. This "translation", however, adds to scripture, misinterprets scripture, and tricks the reader into thinking that God is guiding them through scripture, when in reality, it's Brian Simmons and his emotional appeal. Furthermore, readers will find that the Jesus and Gospel being preached in this bible is not in line with what Scripture truly speaks.

Truth Hurts Podcast: Rioting, BLM, and Storming the Capitol.

Truth Hurts Podcast: Rioting, BLM, and Storming the Capitol.

This episode will go over the recent violent riots that occurred in the US, (emphasis on BLM, who had over 7,750 demonstrations according to ACLED, some peaceful some not), and why now that they've calmed down, should not have been carried out by either sides. Both BLM, and the Conservative rioters who stormed the capitol, we believe, did not handle the issues they faced in a manner that solved any problem. Timothy and Graham believe that these riots created more tension, hatred, and divisiveness in the United States, as well as more harm than good. Some forms of rioting may be justified in the most slightest of cases, but these riots, more specifically, were not those cases.

Truth Hurts: Jesus Is NOT A Socialist

Truth Hurts: Jesus Is NOT A Socialist

In the beginning of this multi-part series, Timothy and Graham will dive into the rising common misconception that Jesus was a Socialist. During Jesus' ministry (30-33AD), Jesus did promote many ideals that revolved around looking out for other's needs (orphans, widows, outcasts of society, the sick, etc.); however, these ideals were not centered around a societal reform, but around The Kingdom of God. That being said, did Jesus's morals align with the many forms of Socialism? Was Jesus wanting to take down the wealthy of society in order to re-distribute wealth? Why did Jesus criticize the wealthy rulers of their time? Let's not forget the 8th Commandment, "Thall shall not steal...".
