What we learnt from Chelsea's first defeat under Thomas Tuchel

Welcome to "We Ain't Got No Podcast", a production of SB Nation's Chelsea blog 'We Ain't Got No History'!
After a terrible defeat at the hands of relegation-threatened West Brom, we tried to make sense of what went wrong for Chelsea by using discussion as a tonic against the pain. To do so, we were joined by returning guests and fellow WAGNH community members Robert Hanson a.k.a. simongabriel and Siva Sankar a.k.a. eternalblue who both helped us analyze Chelsea's abysmal showing with some insightful stats and opinions. Questions were asked with regards to certain players' positions at the club (spoiler: one's Tammy Abraham) and what Thomas Tuchel has to do to react appropriately, among several other topics.
We also looked at the upcoming Champions League quarter-final game against FC Porto, including some cautious predictions, potential tactics and how Malang Sarr has been doing at Chelsea's upcoming opponent.
So tune in to hear us ramble on about everything Chelsea Football Club!

Can Chelsea progress to the Champions League final? — feat. the Loan Report

Welcome to "We Ain't Got No Podcast", a production of SB Nation's Chelsea blog 'We Ain't Got No History'!
It’s certainly been a while since our last episode, but the two of us are finally free of our obligations and can now return to hosting the podcast on a regular basis — and this time for real! This will also see us look forward to welcoming back guests from the community more regularly as we always enjoy debating and interacting with you on the pod!
This episode revolved all around bridging the dull international break by giving it a very Chelsea-heavy spin and reviewing how our players have faired on the global stage. Spoiler warning: it’s been good.
The long awaited Loan Report by Ram also made a come back, giving you a detailed and informative round up of Chelsea’s most promising players currently out on loan. From those well-known among the fan base to the lesser spoken about players, Ram’s got your back. You do not want to miss this!
The two of us also chatted about the Blues’ brilliant draw against Porto in the Champions League, possible obstacles and our chances of progressing. We also previewed the upcoming return to proper football when Chelsea take on West Brom at the weekend.

Was Tuchel right to substitute Hudson-Odoi?

Was Tuchel right to substitute Hudson-Odoi?

Welcome to "We Ain't Got No Podcast", a production of SB Nation's Chelsea blog 'We Ain't Got No History'!
For our newest episode, we were joined by fellow Chelsea fan and content creator Miz Rahman from "The Other Side of the Coin" as we dived into a curious Chelsea display against Southampton. Analyzing what went well and what didn't, we addressed the individual performances and that of the manager, highlighting THAT situation involving Callum Hudson-Odoi. We also had a look at the until now perceived weak points of Thomas Tuchel's system, what has to be done to improve. Finally, Chelsea's chances of progressing to the quarter-finals for the first time in nearly 7 years was also an obvious hot topic which split opinions.

The “new” Chelsea - the good, the bad, the ugly

The “new” Chelsea - the good, the bad, the ugly

Welcome to "We Ain't Got No Podcast", a production of SB Nation's Chelsea blog 'We Ain't Got No History'!
For our newest episode, I was joined by fellow WAGNH writers Brian Yatco and Fellipe Miranda as Ram sat this one out, but will be back and up for it in the next!
The three of us tried to process an eventful week for Chelsea, making use of the theme “the good, the bad, the ugly” to analyze and discuss the newest developments. The managerial appointment was naturally a major talking point, but we also looked to discuss the first games of the “new” era, tinkering formations, the impact on the players, possible new leases of life, and of course Frank Lampard’s departure. Combining positives and negatives, the episode made out to be a balanced chat about what has become part of Chelsea’s identity - whether we like that or not.
So tune in to hear us ramble on about everything Chelsea Football Club!

    Time stamps:

    2:09 Thomas Tuchel appointment

    10:47 Chelsea’s last two games

27:00 Players benefitting and getting a fresh chance

    41:57 Alonso vs. Chilwell

    59:08 Frank Lampard’s departure

    Callum Hudson-Odoi HAS to start!

    Callum Hudson-Odoi HAS to start!

Welcome to "We Ain't Got No Podcast", a production of SB Nation's Chelsea blog 'We Ain't Got No History'!
Our newest episode saw us discuss a Chelsea win over League Two side Morecambe together with fellow community member Saelenn (otherwise known as Sealy Sealson) as we gave our first thoughts on a strong lineup and performance. Goals were scored and some pressure lifted, but is everything rosy again? The persisting lack of utelizing players to their strengths was a hot topic. How might things change to bring the Blues back to winning ways in the Premier League? Does Frank Lampard need to be more flexible? Those were only a few of several questions we asked ourselves.
On a very positive note, we also chatted up the steady resurgence of Chelsea’s most in-form attacker and how his situation needs to be handled from now on.

    Time stamps:

1:33 Full-time thoughts after win against Morecambe

9:57 Goal droughts ended, but still problem of square pegs in round holes?

17:29 Building on win; tweaks still needed?

    28:25 Hot-take on Mount x Havertz

34:49 Is a certain winger now Chelsea’s best attacking threat?

42:19 Chelsea’s tactics - do we have a style of play?

53:02 Is Frank Lampard walking on thin ice?

    1:07:15 Previewing the Fulham game

    What’s going wrong for Chelsea?

    What’s going wrong for Chelsea?

Welcome to "We Ain't Got No Podcast", a production of SB Nation's Chelsea blog 'We Ain't Got No History'!
In our thirty-seventh episode, we looked at two painful Chelsea defeats over the past week, attempting to analyze and name what went wrong against Everton and Wolves. What could Chelsea and Frank Lampard have done better and where did things go so terribly wrong? How much is playing Werner and Havertz out of position affecting our team performances; how much are we REALLY missing Hakim Ziyech? Is there an easy way to get a positive reaction out of the team against West Ham? We also posed the question whether or not the statistic of not having won against top half teams yet this season should be a concern, as well as what the immediate needs for the January transfer window are.
Finally, we also had a look at the very recently changed managerial situation for one of, if not the, most exciting Blues prospect on loan right now, Connor Gallagher. What kind of an impact will Sam Allardyce's introduction at West Brom have on his playing time? Does he still have a future at the Hawthorns? Ram shared his expert opinions on the matter!

We addressed all this and more, so tune in to hear us ramble on about everything Chelsea Football Club!
