I believe that looking at things from multiple perspectives adds value to the overall understanding, in the episodes of Season 2, I explore hair education from the lens of students who I had the honor to work with in close proximity.
Episode 12, deep dives into hair education from Liz's lens. Experiencing two schools, one located in Georgia and Florida respectively and how vastly different they were to her. She shares how she feels and challenges that could deter an aspiring hairstylist.
Liz opens up about her unique journey to manifesting the career of her dreams, from hair school, to landing her first salon job, to finding an salon environment that feels safe for her to thrive in this season of her career.

11. Exploring Hair Education
I like to think of my life's experiences as research. From that perspective, I immersed myself for the last 8 months in the study of formal hair education in Florida.
As a woman with textured hair, I wanted to pour the wisdom that I have amassed, into upcoming hairstylists. By the number of new students enrolling in schools, it is safe to say that the hair industry is still thriving.
Based on my experiences I was able to confirm things that I already knew and discovered new realities in hair education.
Season 2 of Hair Talk is a dedication to the time invested, the beautiful students I got to experience and the journey moving forward for Textured Hair Education.
