Funny, inspiring and full of humanity
I’ve listened to season 1 & 2, and this gets better and better. The two hosts work well together, and find the humour in the situation.
Highly recommend it.
So bad...
Most of their book reviews boil down to "the white male author didn't write enough about his privilege", and they're so obsessed with this that they can't get past it. They misunderstand the message of most books, then criticize them on those points. One of the hosts keeps bringing up the "as a woman of color" card as if Japanese women were discriminated against in the U.S. in this day and age.
I hate the word "snowflake", but I have to admit it describes both hosts pretty perfectly. They really have a chip on their shoulders.
