TIME TAKEN TIME BACK, Custodial Interference And Badmouthing With Robert Garza

TIME TAKEN TIME BACK, Custodial Interference And Badmouthing With Robert Garza

Slam the Gavel welcomes Robert Garza to the podcast. Robert Garza and his family has gone through 10 plus years of family court costing $700,000.00 and suffered through 43 plus false allegations.
We talked about how long it took him to get his Senate Bill 718 passed as a Pro Se Litigant, and how he did it. When the family court is taking away an unalienable parental right (Violating the 5th and 14th Amendments), based on a "PRECAUTION" and when they return the child, they SHALL return the TIME that was LOST.
This NEW law stops the behavior BEFORE the FALSE ALLEGATION is ever made. This bill went through unanimously and bipartisan AND on the first time. Robert got the news that the Governor signed off on the bill on Father's Day.
The bigger travesty is that while going through 43 plus allegations, CPS's time was being wasted when they could have been helping children that really needed the help, as well as the District Attorney's office and the court system's time was wasted   along with TAXPAYER DOLLARS. This bill STOPS the BEHAVIOR before the false allegation is made.

Mother's Day, Father's Day: A Mixed Bag For All Of Us; With Laurie Smith, LMSW

Mother's Day, Father's Day: A Mixed Bag For All Of Us; With Laurie Smith, LMSW

Slam the Gavel welcomes back Laurie Smith, LMSW to the podcast. Laurie was last on Season 3, Episode 170 and Season 4, Episodes 37, 74 and 153.
We discussed the dilemma of forced celebratory traditions such as Mother's Day and Father's Day. Laurie discussed the history behind Mother's Day which dates back to the Civil War. These clubs later became a unifying force in a region of the country still divided over the Civil War. In 1868 Jarvis organized “Mothers’ Friendship Day,” at which mothers gathered with former Union and Confederate soldiers to promote reconciliation. Another precursor to Mother’s Day also came from the abolitionist and suffragette Julia Ward Howe. In 1870 Howe wrote the “Mother’s Day Proclamation,” a call to action that asked mothers to unite in promoting world peace. In 1873 Howe campaigned for a “Mother’s Peace Day” to be celebrated every June 2nd. https://www.history.com/topics/holidays/mothers-day
Even if a parent can't be with their children there are other ways to celebrate or not celebrate these holidays.  What does a person do when everyone wants them to put on a smiling face, 'everything is going to be okay,' turns into a boundary violation. A person doesn't need to perform and mask for someone else and have a smile on their face in order to make someone else feel comfortable, is a nuance boundary violation. Not everyone needs to celebrate them or celebrate them in the same way. Find a way to celebrate in a way that has meaning for you.

Judicial Betrayal, Coercive Control In The Courtroom And The Studies Being Tracked; With Laurie Reynolds

Judicial Betrayal, Coercive Control In The Courtroom And The Studies Being Tracked; With Laurie Reynolds

Slam the Gavel welcomes back Laurie Reynolds to the podcast. She was last on the podcast Season 5, Episode 55, where we discussed how interrogation rooms are similar to CPS involvement and how Laurie experienced domestic violence shortly after being married.
Laurie discussed new scientific data by Gutowski and Goodman such as when did scientists started really looking at the connection between legal abuse and judicial betrayal. Also why studying intimate partner violence is so important when it comes to its appearance in CPS cases. Laurie discussed what this study proved and what can happen to survivors of CPS cases where intimate partner violence is attached. Murder was discussed as to how many people are murdered by intimate partners.
We discussed and explained the definition of legal abuse. What is the best solution for judicial betrayal issues when it comes to intimate parent violence that happens so often in these CPS cases. What can law enforcement do when they are called in for CPS and how this should be handled was discussed in depth as well as what can district attorneys do to curb CPS cases.
There should be random drug testing, psychological evaluations and lie detector tests should be routinely done with family court judges. If doctors and nurses hold people's lives in their hands, so do judges and attorneys.

Filmmaker, Ginger Gentile, Discusses Her Film, "Erasing Family," Coaching Parents After Divorce And Reuniting Families

Filmmaker, Ginger Gentile, Discusses Her Film, "Erasing Family," Coaching Parents After Divorce And Reuniting Families

Slam the Gavel welcomes filmmaker, Ginger Gentile to the podcast. Ginger is a filmmaker, speaker and coach. Ginger is passionate about using her skills to help people and make a difference in this world. Educating, raising awareness, Ginger has used story telling  to inspire others. Committed to helping families heal through and after divorce and trauma, Ginger has appeared on Red Table Talk, Bravo, SXSW, NBC and other podcasts. Since "Erasing Family," came out in 2020 (can be found free on YouTube). Ginger has dealt with high conflict divorce, trauma and  Parental Alienation.
Her first film, "Erasing Dad," in 2014 was censored in Argentina, making front page news as well as forcing her to leave the country. Fathers suddenly came out of nowhere to talk about how they couldn't see their kids. At that time, in Argentina, mothers primarily had full custody. After her film came out, Argentina has  since changed the law, allowing joint custody and no more gender bias in the law.
Ginger came back to the U.S. and found that a lot of mothers couldn't see their kids and that's it's more about money. The kids themselves, as young as seven were on social media talking about how they couldn't see a parent or a sibling. This is when Ginger made the film, "Erasing Families." It is a powerful film that does show happy endings.      Since "Erasing Family," came out in 2020 (can be found free on YouTube).
Parents started contacting Ginger asking for help. Ginger began transitioning out of filming and has trained with Bill Eddy at the High Conflict Institute and is working with the worse cases of divorce and Parental Alienation. Ginger has dealt with and is helping  parents who are suffering through high conflict divorce, trauma and Parental Alienation.
Ginger explains her how her coaching is helping others and  offers the advice that it's never too early to get help and changing the communication style with the co-parent is helpful. Ginger also offered how she has reunited parents with their children.
