    We talk with Karl Heilbron about his journey to becoming a Sound Engineer in the entertainment industry.

    Bio:
    Karl Heilbron is a seasoned live sound engineer hailing from South Carolina, boasting a rich tapestry of experiences in the realm of audio production. Commencing his illustrious career at Southern Tracks Atlanta under the guidance of renowned producer Brendan O’Brien, Karl's portfolio includes seminal works such as Kings X’s "Dogman" album and Pearl Jam’s "VS" album. Notably, he contributed to Soundgarden's Grammy-winning opus, "Superunknown," and Aerosmith's contribution to the "Wayne’s World 2" soundtrack.

    Elevating his craft, Karl assumed the role of Chief Engineer at The Sweat Shop and served as FOH engineer for numerous acclaimed albums and tours, collaborating with luminaries like Keith Sweat, 2Pac, and Silk. His trajectory soared with engagements alongside chart-toppers NSync, Britney Spears, and Brandy, culminating in pivotal collaborations with Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and TLC.

    Transitioning seamlessly into the realm of hip-hop, Karl lent his expertise to Jeezy as his trusted personal engineer and touring recordist. Embracing the dynamism of live performances, he has commanded the FOH/TM roles for esteemed acts such as Pain of Salvation, Klone, and Adam Doleac, leaving an indelible mark on stages nationwide.

    Venturing into diverse territories, Karl's versatility shines as he orchestrates soundscapes for theatrical productions including "Nutcracker! The Magical Christmas Ballet," "New Jack City," and the riveting "Superfreak: The Rick James Story" currently on a four-month tour.

    Anticipating an exhilarating 2024 season, Karl eagerly embarks on the forthcoming Happy Together Tour, headlined by the iconic Turtles. With a stellar track record and a passion for sonic excellence, Karl Heilbron continues to push forward to make shows shine.

    Matt Hanrahan began his storied career in entertainment DJing and playing in rock bands like Carpal Tunnel in New England before becoming an alternative music promoter, independently promoting and coordinating live events, organizing street team promotions, and managing and an indie music label and roster.

    From his start in CT, Matt built a strong base in New England and then instinctively moved to nearby NYC where he further cut his teeth producing concerts and eventually tours, festivals, and other special events.
    Matt eventually took his learnings from the live event space, combined it with his marketing know how, and focused on Branded Entertainment.
    It wasn't long before Matt was on the road producing events and content with same of the biggest
    bands and brands in the world, including world tours with The
    Rolling Stones, Moby's Area Festival Tours, WWE, The Golden Gods, Alt Press, and Loudwire Music Awards, critically acclaimed music video productions, charity concerts, live streams, and an amazing 8 year run producing shows for WWE.
    These days, Matt continues to create, program, and produce unique entertainment experiences and content within the realms of music, art, fashion, tech, sports and non profits while forging a burgeoning entertainment partnership with The Outlier Group with a focus on talent development, management, venue / event booking production, and compelling brand partnerships including SPINs Lipps Service Podcast, LA Fleet Week, SXSW, Raven Drum Foundation, Beachlife Festival and much more!

    We talk with Dan Stork about his journey to becoming a Sound Engineer in the entertainment industry.

    Bio:
    is an experienced front of house audio engineer, tour and production manager with over 15 years of industry experience. Raised in a musical family,

    Dan studied a Bachelor of Music at the prestigious Queensland Conservatorium in Brisbane, before relocating to Melbourne.

    He then attained a Masters of Marketing to further his understanding of the financial and business aspects of the music industry.

    Dan currently resides in Los Angeles, USA. He has toured extensively in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Europe as well as in the USA, Asia, and Canada, and has worked with artists from all over the world. He prides himself on his impeccable audio skills, logistics and organisational vision and excellent people and time management skills.

    Dan regularly works, and is comfortable in every venue, from small bars to major outdoor festivals and prestigious theatres. This has included Reading and Leeds Festivals (UK), Pukkelpop Festival (BEL), Summer Breeze (GER), Deichbrand Festival (GER), and Splendour in The Grass, Falls Festival, Laneway Festival and Download Festival in Australia.

    He has worked with bands including Taking Back Sunday, Deafheaven, Russian Circles, Rolo Tomassi, and Nothing as well as major Australian acts including Hockey Dad, Dune Rats, DZ Deathrays, The Smith Street Band, Ruby Fields and Clowns.

    When not on tour Dan has spent the past decade working as a production supervisor in award-winning venues across Australia. Outside of music, Dan enjoys cycling, taking photos, and hiking.
