Jibreel-O-Iblees (Gabriel and Satan) by Allama Iqbal - جبریل و ابلیس - Explanation

Jibreel-O-Iblees (Gabriel and Satan) by Allama Iqbal - جبریل و ابلیس - Explanation

Jibreel-O-Iblees/ Iblis - جبریل و ابلیس translated as (Gabriel and Satan) is a beautiful and classical Urdu poem written by Allama Iqbal. The poem is counted mong the best poems of Urdu language. The poem Jibreel-O-Iblees - جبریل و ابلیس (Gabriel and Satan) by Allama Iqbal is a dialogue between Jibreel (Gabriel) and Iblees (Satan). In this poem Allama Iqbal presented Iblees (Satan) as an anti hero where we see all his faults and flaws but he was presented in a way that we do not hate him but rather we envy his determination.
The poem Jibreel-O-Iblees - جبریل و ابلیس (Gabriel and Satan) gave a new and unique perspective to the story of Adam and Iblees . It gives us a new angle to view and think about the thoughts of Iblees. We can see how determined Iblees is. How firm his belief are. We can see how high Allama Iqbal's imagination was. How great his choice of words and his writing style was. I really hope you would enjoy this episode. If you really love Urdu Adab (Urdu literature), please do subscribe.
