Chesterton's Father Brown, and Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes. Gangbusters aired on CBS radio and was popular on radio for 21 years. The show featured true stories from the FBI files and was supported by J. Edgar Hoover, although Hoover often disagreed with producer Lord's attempt to dramatize the show.
