Top Tips for Building a Solid Relationship with Your Educational Assistant

As readers, podcast consumers, and learners we often lean on other people’s work and wisdom in our mentorship. In this episode we mentioned the Building Collaborative Teams Document used by Edmonton Public Schools.  “Building Collaborative Teams was developed to help teachers, educational assistants (EAs) and administrators better understand the roles of teachers and EAs. This document provides a framework for clarifying the roles, responsibilities and shared duties of teachers and EAs, as well as a range of tools and suggested processes for communicating”. Since this is a locally developed document, all teachers and EAs have access to this document on Connect (our Division’s intranet).

Title: Bring back the Weiner Roast!

Join us as we tether our conversation with one of Richard Wagamese’s meditations, from his book Embers: One Ojibway’s Meditations. “Teachings come from everywhere when you open yourself to them…”  Regardless of the situation you found yourself in, there wasn’t a shortage of lessons offered.  Now it is time to consider what we learned and what is important. What has this year taught you?
