As a teenager coming up from the ecstatic crowds of legendary Subclub (Bratislava) Juraj // Obstrukcia was intrigued by electronic music from his very night spent at the dancefloor.

Driven by spontaneous energy, his sets melt left-field offbeat techno with goa trance and progressive breakbeat while he also currently acts as Onyx resident DJ and co-curator of popular Tetris nights with appearances in various local venues either as a performer or promoter.

People and their surroundings are composed of small particles with different densities and an infinite number of connections between them. They have a variety of properties, and one can observe them modifying from time to time. In the hands of laboratory professionals, substances combine with one another, reshaping and receiving a new formula. Andrey Kostyukov, one of the greatest masters of transformation and transfiguration, is our guest today.


Andriy Kostyukov is a Kyiv-born and Prague-based electronic musician and dj.
First of all, his attention is devoted to creating music. Andriy skillfully combines Experimental Bass and IDM. His exclusive works could be heard at Paris Fashion Week 2019 and at many leading events in Ukraine. Some of the key ones were the “Brudnyy Pes” and “Na Chasi” festivals in Kyiv, “ODS” in Odesa and “Voyage Culturel” in Kharkiv. Speaking of dj sets, Andriy has established a strong musical position between trippy techno and upbeat glitch Bass stuff. His selection was appreciated in the club ∄ (Kyiv), Re:mise (Berlin), Fitzroy (Berlin), Ankali (Prague), Vitamin (Brno), Kultura Zvuku (Kharkiv), Otel' (Kyiv).
He is a co-organizer of the Motsion — one of the first musical events that began charitable activities in Kyiv after the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine.

A woodcarver begins with a piece of wood and workpiece preparation. They smooth the surface and eliminate all defects. Next, they keep transforming it using knives and proceed to the final stage: post-processing. They grind it, soak it in certain substances, and then stain.

So there we go:
Workpiece preparation = Mix idea

Our woodcarver for today is fleika

A staple of Prague’s Techno scene, fleika has been cultivating his dj skills for almost a decade.

Between his membership in the Polygon collective, regular exposure at Cukr events and performances at Prague’s Stalin plaza, he has become one of the local scene’s most sought-after selectors.

fleika’s experiences behind the decks have been rapidly developing in Ankali’s DJ booth thanks to his involvement as a club resident and co-curator of Archiv Teknologi night series.

His commitment manifests in persistent digging through vast worlds of music, and in extensive, marathon sets.
