About Uwe Cremering

Uwe joined iF International Forum Design (iF Design) as the new CEO in April 2021. The years before, Uwe was part of the management team of the PRO Division of Sennheiser electronic, one of the world's most important headphone and microphone manufacturers. Since 2001, in various positions ranging from Head of New Media and Director Global Marketing Communications to Director AMBEO Immersive Audio and Managing Director of the subsidiary Dear Reality, he has been instrumental in driving forward developments in the 3D audio business. From the beginning of his career, starting in 1998 as Project Leader New Media for the EXPO 2000 in Hannover. The topics of digitalization, transformation, business development, innovation and design have been at the center of his successful entrepreneurial activities and are considered in his position at iF Design.
iF International Forum Design GmbH, based in Hannover, is one of the world's leading independent design institutions. It has hosted the iF DESIGN AWARD every year since 1954. With around 11,000 submissions from around 60 countries every year, it is one of the largest and most prestigious design awards in the world. iF Design has subsidiaries in USA, China, the Republic of China Taiwan and South Korea. Italdesign Giugiaro is a renowned Italian design studio that has made a significant impact on the automotive industry. Founded by Giorgetto Giugiaro and Aldo Mantovani in 1968, the studio has played a pivotal role in shaping the aesthetic and functional aspects of numerous iconic cars and product.


Nicola Guelfo is the former Head of Industrial Design in Italdesign Giugiaro, Turin, Italy.

 

1979 - High School Diploma as Business Administrator and Foreign Language Expert.

 

1984 - Illustrator of industrial design products, with various
techniques (tempera, chalk, airbrush) at Giugiaro Design.

 

1987 - Junior Designer at Giugiaro Design responsible for activities of Industrial Design concept research and development, including drawing sketches, producing technical and perspective drawings and 3D renderings.

 

1992 - Senior Designer at Giugiaro Design responsible for activities of Industrial Design concept research and development, using three-dimensional systems, 3D and virtual renderings, developing feasibility and pre-engineering analysis.

 

2000 – 2023 - Head of Industrial Design at Italdesign Giugiaro,
responsible for coordinating and managing Industrial Design concept research and development for the industrial sector.

Menno Veefkind se graduó de la Universidad Tecnológica de Delft con el grado de MSc en Diseño Industrial. Actualmente trabaja en Nacar Design en Barcelona donde reporta a la dirección general sobre desarrollo de negocios, administración de proyectos, gestión de calidad, sustentabilidad e innovación abierta. En Nacar Design, también fue director del equipo de diseño industrial en Hewlett Packard y director de recursos/operaciones del equipo de Nacar Studio.

Anteriormente en Barcelona, trabajó como consultor de innovación en IDOM Consulting ayudando a PYMES en España e internacionales con estrategias y procesos de diseño e innovación.

Antes de ingresar a la industria, Menno fue profesor asistente de Diseño Industrial en la Universidad de Delft (Países Bajos), donde investigó y diseñó productos “solar powered”, administró asignaturas y fue tutor de proyectos de final de Máster. Actualmente está asociado como profesor a tiempo parcial en EU Business School Online Campus, la Universidad de Barcelona, la Universidad Pompeu Fabra y el Instituto Europeo de Design (IED).

Menno es coautor de la guía sobre innovación de productos que publica la Oficina Catalana de Innovación (Acció) y de varios artículos científicos, algunos de los cuales están publicados en journals “peer-reviewed”. También imparte charlas, recientemente en el Word Information Architecture Day en la aceleradora para startups Craash Barcelona (Biocat).
