Welcome to B-Sides Now! Less of a music industry podcast, and more of a music industry airing of grievances. Born out of the stress the 2020 pandemic brought to many in the business, Co-hosts Jamie Coletta and Adam Pfleider talk to guests about not only their thoughts on what's going on behind the curtain, but "making sense of" and "calling out" the chaos that is the reality of so many people burning out daily. This is also about new avenues of creativity, productivity and avoiding others' mistakes along the way. It's about speaking truth and building towards a more positive future with each new episode.

    Sunny Singh (Hate5Six)

    Sunny Singh (Hate5Six)

For the first episode, we were compelled to talk to videographer, activist and content creator Sunny Singh of Hate5Six. Singh has been a staple of the hardcore scene for years now, documenting some of the genres biggest festivals and cataloging some of the oldest landmark shows. At the 11th hour prior to the record release show for Code Orange's new album, Underneath, the country went into lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Live touring came to a halt, and Singh helped put together a successful record release livestream for the band in its wake that kicked off a year's worth of the new norm of visual media and "live" promotion for many artists around the globe. We spoke to Singh about his involvement in the stream, learning new tricks in his move from an active stage to a less active studio, and his use of the Patreon platform.
