    In this episode I sat down and spoke to Rachel West who is a Doula and Childbirth educator in the San Antonio area since 2015. In addition to holding a Master's Degree in Sociology, she is certified as a Lamaze Childbirth Educator, Labor and Postpartum Doula and Hypnobirthing Educator.
    Accompanying her local birth work, she also occupies the position of Implementation Advisor for group prenatal care at Centering Health Institute.
    Outside of work, Rachel enjoys baking, tending to her little garden, spending time with family, practicing yoga and Tai Chi, and overwhelming her dogs with love and affection.
    We get into specific benefits of having a postpartum birthing ceremony and what the process looks like. 
    Rachel and I also chat about birth story and the power of sharing it to identify whether it is a story that is serving us as we transition into the role of motherhood or parent.
