CIP 31: Living True with Drea Dalzell - Pt. 1

Danielle and Erin are joined by generous and powerful human being, Drea Dalzell. Drea shares her incredible path through recovery, her time in prison, and how her dogs have supported her in her journey.

Be sure to listen to Drea's podcast "Live True" and find her on Instagram @live.true.active

    From Drea:

Born in New Mexico, raised in Arizona, now a Minnesota transplant. I have lived in MN for 8 years. I have an older brother, who is one of my best friends. My parents are divorced, but both are very active in my life. I moved to MN because of my wonderful husband, who I met in AZ while he was attending school. We moved in 2012, and live in Sartell/St. Cloud.

I am a recovering alcoholic of 10 years, I once struggled with addiction and the true feeling of non-belonging. As I have moved into a life of sobriety, I learned about the importance of community, especially a community of strong women. I am very particular about the relationships that I keep these days. Sobriety has brought me to a yoga practice, self reflection and growth, and most importantly turning that outward. I am the mother to two beautiful little girls, Eva (4) and Aria (2). By day, I work in the busy payroll industry, by night I am a game changer. I recently started a podcast of my own, nowhere near expert level, but I'm working on finding where and how I want my voice to be heard. I know deep down that I have a purpose to share and work in community, but I am only now working on the how and why. I have been married for 5 years, and have be together with my husband for almost 10. He has taught me the value of information, process and animal facts. He's a pretty amazing dude.

In a nutshell, my motto is "Live true." Depth and raw authenticity is my jam. I'm about breaking down walls, and building up relationships.
