Regional Cinemas in a digital world

Regional Cinemas in a digital world

Digital cinema is making regional cinema more current as main stream releases are only weeks behind the city and not months as was with film.
In this video I talk with Kingsley Green, Manager Corporate & Community Services at Tatiara District Council in South Australia.
In our discussion he brings to light how important to a community a cinema and its capabilities are.
We also discuss how regional locations are joining forces via the ability to network the locations together to fight off higher running costs as the need to import talent (ie pay integrators for simple support needs) is reduced and the knowledge shared.

    CTG – Product Review – USL JSD-60

In this video I review an entry level Cinema Audio Processor from USL.
The JSD-60 is a very versatile entry level processor with every feature you could want. Its well worth the upgrade if you are still on your older film based processor. It gives you the network monitoring and automation features that can really save you money.
I hope you enjoy the review..

    AIMC13 – USL announces products CMS2200 and CMSA100

    AIMC13 – USL announces products CMS2200 and CMSA100

In this video we have an early look at some products coming out from USL (http://uslinc.com/)
This includes a new 3rd generation SMS (Screen Management System) the CMS2200 (See http://uslinc.com/qr.php?var=cms2200)  This is the evolution of the IMB (Internal Media Block) based SMS to the full server (Disks, computer etc) installed into the projector. This is called an IMS (Internal Media Server)
    Secondly..
The CMSA100, an IO/Automation device. This is used to send automation events into and out of a SMS device such as the CMS2200 or any other vendor SMS. It is controlled over IP-socket and appears extremely price competitive.
A very interesting product. See video for more details on this great new device.
No web links yet as they are so new..

    AIMC13 – Sweet Amandas Lollies,Sweets,Candy Kiosk

    AIMC13 – Sweet Amandas Lollies,Sweets,Candy Kiosk

The Sweet Amanda’s (http://www.16candies.com/aboutus.html) machine is the ultimate bulk candy machine. The machine can dispense up to 16 different wrapped or unwrapped candies. The candy is dispensed into a Sweet Amanda’s cup by conveyer, making the process fun to watch! In addition, the Sweet Amanda’s machine can sell 6 different 5″ gift capsules (which double as a piggy bank) that can contain items such as T-shirts, toys and even electronic devices! The gift capsules are stored in transparent tubes on the sides of the machine.
This machine is an important example of how cinema owners can improve hygiene and reduce labor costs at the same time. A very interesting invention, well worth a look.
