In this ep Sammy chats to Ian from maths by Ian.

Ian is an experienced FE maths teacher now working as an online private tutor supporting students from a range of backgrounds studying a range of qualifications in maths.

We wanted to dive into how we manage behaviour in our FE maths and English classes and give some examples of how we got out of some tricky situations. Plus we share how if we talk expectations we change the narrative for students and staff sometimes.

We started off chatting about behaviour in our FE maths and English classes but we moved quickly onto some stonking starter or warm up activities from Hollie and then we talked about how we manage the eye roll!
