EP 34: PROVE 'EM WRONG with Desiree Cheng

EP 34: PROVE 'EM WRONG with Desiree Cheng

(March 17, 2021) Convinced by her older sister to try out volleyball was what started it all for Desiree Cheng, but what pushed her to go beyond her self-perceived limits and boundaries, apart from the tutelage of the two most finest coaches in Philippine volleyball, was the thought of helping out her parents financially after seeing them struggle while growing up.

Celebrated and idolized for her numerous accolades and achievements yet still so much room for more, Des gives light on how she was able to bring out the star within through her early struggles, her devastating injury and external criticisms.

EP 31: MAKE IT RAIN with Renren Ritualo

EP 31: MAKE IT RAIN with Renren Ritualo

(February 24, 2021) During the time when basketball was all that matters, Renren Ritualo, now a family man, struck fear in the hearts of his opponents with his deadly touch from the outside and an array of skill sets that made him an unstoppable force on the offensive end. More than that, what made him special was his hunger and will to win at all cost.

Winning in all levels of basketball against elite competition, being only 1 of 3 DLSU Green Archers to have a retired jersey, and, recently, being an inductee in the DLSU sports Hall of Fame have unquestionably put the name and legacy of Renren aka "The Rainman" on a whole 'nother level in the world of Philippine basketball.

EP 30: HUMILITY with Jervy Cruz

(February 17, 2021) Jervy Cruz had only one thing in mind when he wanted to play college basketball in Manila. It wasn't about the fame, the fortune, or playing in the pro league. For Jervy, studying college with a full scholarship was what mattered the most.

Accepted to the University of Sto. Tomas basketball program, Jervy ended up spending 4 years in the Team B before a coaching change in 2006, putting Coach Pido Jarencio at the helm, that gave Jervy the opportunity of a lifetime to finally play in the UAAP.

At that point on, never did he look back on what became a long and fruitful basketball career that started out with just the hopes of a college education.
