    Our two speakers today are Agatha Juma and Don Bosire, the duo behind Engage Kenya Ltd a storytelling and content creation company. Africa's largest homegrown storytelling platform. Engage also provides a platform for ordinary people to share their stories and experiences to inform, inspire and influence other ordinary people. The platform, with over 300 stories, was born out of a desire to encourage Africans that we have all the inspiration we need right here in the continent dressed as ordinary people. Engage Kenya's YouTube channel has had over 14million views across the globe.

    Speakers bio:

    Agatha is a Storyteller and Storycurator. She is a co-founder and director at Engage Kenya Ltd. Through coaching and training speakers and professionals in different fields, she has worked with over 400 people who’ve proceeded to share their experiences and communicate with greater impact.     Donald is a co-founder and Director at Engage. He thrives in all things Strategy, Project and Change Management where he is a Certified professional. As a Certified Executive Coach, his greatest love is the connection created in helping people become better versions of themselves. What defines him though, is his love for storytelling and the impact it has in transforming the heart and soul of society. He tweets as @DonaldBosire

    Our speaker today is Emmanuel Dabo, a communications consultant from Côte d'Ivoire who for more than five years has supported researchers from various regions of Africa. He shares useful pointers on #SciComms and science storytelling. He is a Communications Consultant at Afrique One-ASPIRE. Afrique One-ASPIRE is a program that focuses on the #OneHealth concept to address key challenges related to ecosystem #health. It's supported by @wellcometrust @AASciences @DFID_UK
    In 2018, he was ranked among the 50 best communication experts in Africa according to the "Africa communications leadership report 2018".

    The PhD student at the Catholic University of West Africa - University Unit of Abidjan (UCAO-UUA) is doing research that looks at digital technology and socio-political change in Africa.

    Moky Makura is the Executive Director at Africa NoFilter (ANF), an organization, which began as a project under the Ford Foundation. It became its own entity in 2019 and aims to support the development of nuanced and contemporary stories that shift stereotypical and harmful narratives within and about Africa.

    Moky Makura was born in Nigeria, educated in England and has lived in London, Johannesburg and Lagos. Prior to joining Africa No Filter she was the Deputy Director for Communications Africa at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation where she was responsible for building and managing the foundation’s reputation on the continent.

    She has also worked as a Communications Director for the Tony Elumelu Foundation in Nigeria.

    Moky is a well-known TV presenter, producer, author, publisher and a successful entrepreneur in her own right. She holds an Honours degree in Politics, Economics and Law from Buckingham University in the UK.
