While both share the common features of bodily movement and contraction of skeletal muscles, they differ significantly in that physical activity isn't planned, or done with the specific goal of improving physical performance, physical exercise is planned, structured, repetitive bodily movement performed with the goal of improving one or more components of physical Fitness. Nevertheless, adequate levels of PA and PE contributes significantly towards preventing, treating, and even reversing many disabling medical conditions. Integrating them into one's lifestyle is one of the most important things that can be done for the improvement of personal health and wellbeing.
