Kwanzaa - A New Tradition‪?‬ 2BE Podcast

    • Educação

In the spirit of Reimagining - Shouldn't Kwanzaa become an integral part of our Yearly Traditions and Winter Celebrations?

JOIN 2BE as we uplift the history of how Kwanzaa was created, how the celebration became mainstream, and why Black Americans should be holding Kwanzaa celebrations every year. Our guest Paige Brooks-Cook is an early childhood educator and photographer born and raised in the historic Black neighborhood of Roxbury, MA. Paige is the coordinator of annual Kwanzaa activities at her school and in the community. She has been teaching since she was a teenager and is committed to instilling self-determination, creativity, and an academically rigorous curriculum in inner-city environments.

Originally aired on December 17th, 2020.
