Amplify Voices: Increasing Access to Diverse Books with Visual Book Lists and Free Book Fairs
Providing student access to diverse books is more important than ever in our current climate. It is critical that students see themselves in the books they read, finding mirrors, windows, and sliding glass doors into the experiences of others. This podcast will focus on two of Melissa’s initiatives - Visual Book Lists and Novel Nation Book Fairs. Visual Book Lists provide easy to browse, thematic lists of similar books featuring diverse authors.
