On Thursday 18 April we are releasing Update 18.03 which specifically focuses on improvements to some of the stability issues encountered with the Titans. Please be aware that we are still investigating these issues but this patch should offer significant improvement.


If you experience vents or the core becoming stuck or unresponsive please switch to playing in private group or playing solo.

New Supercruise Overcharge module enters the market, a “turning point for humanity”

SITUATION:



We have 9 controls, including an active and a presumably-inactive spire around Oya


Goal is to hit 85% progress on controlled systems ASAP, then proceed to carrier-unloading operations


(85% is the cap of spire site influence on surrounding control systems, so at that point carriers will be unloaded)



Prepare to strike Oya Thursday the 18th; equipping TitanKillers with new 5C FSD and repositioning carriers within 10 LY of Oya is recommended

New Rating C Frame Shift Drive modules will be available. They can be found at a number of Outfitting services, especially in more technologically advanced markets, and these will introduce a new functionality: Super Cruise Overcharge.


Fixed being unable to add an experimental effect to pre-engineered 5A FSD modules (Issue ID 63452)


Added support for hardware with up to 128 buttons that is registered as an input device (Issue ID 1763) (Let's all go out and get some button panels! In honor of the new faster FSD there’s a sim racer button box: https://simracingcockpit.com/sim-racing-button-boxes/ )



Thargoid Highlights:



Adjusted Titan turret projectiles so they should no longer appear to "lag".


Performance improvements during multiplayer scenarios when the transition into meltdown happens after the core has been destroyed for the final heart.


Fixed instances of abrupt lighting change on the Titan Core when dealing damage to it. Titan discos are hereby canceled


Fixed the Titan Destroyed decals having flipped orientation on certain ships.

Oya spawns 30 alerts



Many more than the usual/allowed number


Many are more than 10 LY from any control system


Some are in systems that were cleared yesterday


There was a Galnet update about it but hours after the fact. (timing?



In response, all AX ops turn to attack Oya now, in spite of high damage resistance



In spite of PFed messages, the rules no-longer apply and efforts to clear systems are wasted


PDES advises it’s pilots to bombard the titan since clearing systems doesn’t matter


Tissue samples already collected will be held on carriers to turn in after Oya is neutralized
