I have been practising Natural Farming in my 11 acre farm in a small village viz., Gabaddi near Harohalli in Karnataka State. Since 2004, I have been practising Subhash Palekar Natural Farming (SPNF), formerly known as Zero Budget Natural Farming (ZBNF)
This podcast has been created to help all newbie Natural Farmers interested in SPNF technology. During initial years, my biggest challenge was applying the natural principles in my agriculture field. And hopefully this podcast series will help address the challenges faced by new farmers who want to shift to Natural Farming in their fields.

How to avoid mosquitoes and flies on my farm animals? ನನ್ನ ಕೃಷಿ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಸೊಳ್ಳೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ನೊಣಗಳನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ?
ನನ್ನ ಕೃಷಿ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಸೊಳ್ಳೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ನೊಣಗಳನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ?
Two methods have been given:
1. Using neem leaves, water and turmeric
2. Using water, vinegar, khadi or handmade soap and essential oils
You can any of these essential oils
Eucalypus
Tulasi
Lemongrass
Peppemint
Citronella
ಎರಡು ವಿಧಾನಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ:
1. ಬೇವಿನ ಎಲೆಗಳು, ನೀರು ಮತ್ತು ಅರಿಶಿನವನ್ನು ಬಳಸುವುದು

Managing Weaver Ant in Natural Farms
Weaver ants play a very big role as a biological control to manage agricultural pests especially anthropods.However, the host plant or tree on which they build their nest show negative effects. So, let us see what we can do to manage these ants in our natural farms.
CAUTION: Ensure your safety since you are flame burning. Do not overburn the nests, because you may damage the host plant. If there is dry mulch on ground, make sure you take necessary precautions.

Symptom: Presence of Gall on leaves
Pest Identification:
Maggots – are yellowish
Adult - Tiny mosquito like
Management in Subhash Palekar Natural Farming (SPNF/ZBNF):
Prevention: Mulching under tree canopy and Jeevamritha application every 15 days or once a month
Neemastra or Dashaparni spray during January, when the pests are active.

ತಡೆಗಟ್ಟುವಿಕೆ: ಮರದ ಮೇಲಾವರಣ ಮತ್ತು ಜೀವಮೃತ ಅನ್ವಯದ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿ 15 ದಿನಗಳಿಗೊಮ್ಮೆ ಅಥವಾ ತಿಂಗಳಿಗೊಮ್ಮೆ ಹಸಿಗೊಬ್ಬರ ಹಾಕುವುದು
