#009 Ian Lobb & Emma Hichens
Episode 9 of Newcastle Muso Talk with guests Ian Lobb and Emma Hichens.
In the wake of the news of the sale of the Lass O'Gowrie in Newcastle, we have our final episode for 2018. Recorded just over 2 months ago in the grand old Lass itself, we spoke with owner Ian about his background in pubs, the changes to the immediate area around his beloved institution, and the challenges he's faced with the rail changes and the shift from being a rock town to a developer paradise. We then speak to long time booker Emma about her requirements for a band to grace the stage, her own musical tastes and the fun in booking such a legendary venue.
