There are a lot of importnant aspects to being a facilities manger or facilities director, but one thing is for sure; once you get hired, you need to make an immediate impact. Some way, Some how, you need to find a way to back up everything that you pitched in your interview. You need to follow through on all the things that you promised you could do when you sat down with your boss the first time. There are several ways to do it... there's right ways, there's wrong ways, and there's also easy ways. Small things that you can do to get recognzied and make changes right away. Let's face it, the newer generations are getting less and less patient when it comes to seeing changes. Tat's a whole nother topic in and of itself, but fact is fact. You have to hold true to how you sold yourself and, let me guess, you promised to be able to save money on R & M costs? How close am I? Did I get it right?
