Anita McKenzie is a visual artist, writer, picture researcher and creative producer, she works with photography and mixed media materials to explore social themes relating to equality and belonging in order to challenge intersectional oppression and to amplify unheard voices through personal creative projects and collaborations.

Pierre Bureau is a French-Ethiopian photographer in London, who began his photography journey as an escape from his own mental health struggles. He founded Mindful Photo Lab in 2019, which aims to connect communities through photography workshops, and to improve the mental health of participants.

Series 6 of the Placeholder Podcast explores community photography and the ethics surrounding it, and we had a really interesting conversation with our first guest photographer Anthony Luvera.Anthony is a self-described socially-engaged artist and educator based in London. He collaborates with individuals, addressing issues like homelessness and queer identity. His work has been exhibited at Tate Liverpool, British Museum, London Underground, National Portrait Gallery, and more.
