Podcast 1 : And another thing...how not to debate? Thoughts on Education

I've noticed well known contrarians have a set pattern of "debating". Often highly emotional words or statements are used as a springboard for an argument that contains, what I call "braided truth" (some statements true others not), which then leads to the establishing of a straw man. This is then pummelled away at and pump primed by further emotive terms to stoke up high emotions and promote social division in the listener. Although always claiming that culture wars are the fault of others you can sometimes see the genesis of this in the strategies and statements pushed out by high profile pundits.
