The thesis is the backbone of any essay. It's the main idea, the central argument, and the guide for what information follows it. In this episode, I'll review what a thesis is and how to approach writing one.

If you tend to forget what you read as soon as you finish reading, you're not reading actively! In this episode, I touch on two methods for active reading, a process designed to engage the reader with the text in an effort to absorb and retain more information: the SQ3R method and the QCQ method. Try them out and see which works best for you!
